Cuz we need it. King J found out on Wednesday that he is the employee of the year for his office. Along with the title, they will be sending him to the company headquarters in Seoul Korea in 2 weeks. AHHHH I am so proud of him. It is a long awaited recognition, even if they choose them by cycling through the employees who haven't been on the trip yet. So we have been busy getting passports expedited and sitters lined up and all the fun stuff that goes along with it. I will be joining him a week later as he had his days filled up with work things the first week he is there.
So, if anyone has any words of advice or things we should or shouldn't do when traveling abroad, let me have it!!

Our New Toy
So as many of you know, King J has been going to the University of Phoenix online for several years now. Well he is finally scheduled to graduate this Fall. YAHOO!!! No one is more excited than him. He has all sorts of plans for things he wants to do once he is done. Mostly things he has been putting off around the house etc.
Well I am so proud of him, and his hard work at working full time, going to school full time, and somewhere in there still finding time for his girls. That I gave him his graduation present early. He is the proud new owner of a 42 inch plasma TV and a nice solid wood entertainment center. Along with the HD television service from Direct TV.

MIA
I am so sorry I have been MIA the last few weeks. I have been keeping myself very busy helping 2 friends who are on bed rest near the ends of their pregnancies. That has been on top of everything else that normally goes on with primary, kids and just keeping my sanity. Whenever I had a few minutes to myself, I would just crash and posting blogs was the farthest thing from my mind. But hopefully things have settled down a bit and I can be more regular. So those of you who check in on us daily will stop going through withdrawals. :) Love you all.

Ace of Cakes got nothin on me
So, remember my post about practicing with the fondant so I could do the barbie cake for the girls? Well, drum roll please.....I am so proud of myself. It turned out SO cute. Better than I could have ever imagined. The princesses were both pretty pleased with it as well.
I couldn't bare to put the candles right into her dress, so I rolled little fondant roses. It was a great idea.
She even had a little gold necklace.
Not that great of a shot of her backside, but it had a big bow with tails that went to the bottom of the dress.
They both loved opening presents from Mom and Dad as well. They are still at the age where we pretty much have to get them the same things so they don't fight. They both got a barbie beetle and a new barbie.
Princess E got a new preschool barbie laptop.
Princess M got some moon sand. She loves playing with playdough so I thought the no drying out factor would be good, and it looks so cool on TV. Well, it is sand. Plain and simple, it makes an even bigger mess than the playdough. It kept her happy though for almost an entire conference session. So I guess it was worth it in the end.

It is so fun each year being able to celebrate their birthdays on General Conference weekend with family. I think they get a little bit of birthday over load after it is all over.
Thank you to all of you who mailed presents and well wishes to them. They certainly felt like the princesses that they are.

Terrible 3's
Princess M spent another fun birthday at the park. I tell ya, those have been not only the funnest, but the easiest birthday parties. No need to entertain, and clean up is a cinch. The only hang up has been that it is very windy each year. But that is a given for where we live.
She had a blast. I invited her whole nursery class as well as her friends from the local mommies group I belong to. It ended up being a huge crowd of kids, but it was so fun.

Once everyone had arrived, we began with cake and ice cream. Cupcakes and cones proved to be a great idea, but I was grateful that I remembered the wipes. I was also very grateful to have lots of other moms there with helping hands.
I think I have finally figured out why we have such a tom boy on our hands. This is her with some of her best friends. Notice they are all boys. The 3 sitting could be found in this little alcove pretty much the whole party. They just love being together.
Princess E and one of her best friends had fun pushing each other on the swings. It is so nice that they are finally big enough to help each other.
She made off like a bandit. Lots of 'digging' toys. Perfect for her obsession of digging for worms.
Of course the favorite present was the one Princess E found at the DI. It is a pet carrier with a matching spotted kitty inside. "Just like cousin Paige has" This thing hasn't left her side since she opened it.
This is her best friend Micheal. He is about 6 months younger than her, but she is his Maddie. He idolizes her and they both love being together. I think we might have to start planning the wedding now. ;)
Happy Birthday Maddie Moo!
5 years old
You definitely could tell who had helped their moms in the kitchen and who needed more help.
While the pizza was cooking they each decorated their own cupcakes. It was so fun to watch the creative juices flow.
Princess E was admit that we invite her favorite babysitter Courtney. I kept telling her, "You know Courtney might have other plans. " thinking why would she want to come to a 5 year old's party. But the more I thought about it the more I thought it would be a great idea to have more help with that many little girls running around. I am pretty sure she had a great time. She thinks now that she is 5 she should be able to go to kindergarten right now, and go to a new church class. It has proven to be pretty tough convincing her otherwise.
The big 30
My birthday weekend was awesome. It started out with a few friends taking me to be a part of the Good Things Utah audience on Friday. (I tivo it every day.) GTU was tons of fun. Very crowded as there were lots of people there to support the lady who was guest hosting. But we got yummy free donuts, a chip board alphabet from Roberts, and I got some scrapbook paper for having a birthday. We went to lunch and then hit the 90% off sale of Easter stuff at Roberts. Oh and I was able to find an entertainmet center while I was out for our new tv.
Then saturday King J had all kinds of suprises for me. First we drove into SLC and had lunch at Chuck o rama. Sounds silly, but it seriously is one of our favorite places to eat. (I love to make salads with just about everything on it. I would eat it every single day if I could.) Then we went to see Semi pro. Horrible Horrible movie but there weren't any really good choices this weekend. While we were waiting for the movie to start, we walked around the mall and did a little shopping. I don't think he has EVER gone shopping with me. After the movie he had planned to go to dinner and then to another movie and then check into a hotel. But I told him I would rather just go check in and then pick up some take out for later. He agreed and we headed down to Thanksgiving point to the new Marriott hotel down there.
On the way he told me that when he was reserving the room, he told the lady that he was suprising me for my birthday so he wanted to have the best view and any other extra perks she could help him with. I thought it was so thoughtful of him to think of those details. The room was georgeous with 2 separate rooms. One with a little kitchen area and a couch, and the other with a large flat screen tv and a king size. I felt like we were on our honeymoon all over again. wink wink . We slept in this morning and then went to lunch at TGIFridays, where he wanted to go last night, and then picked up the kiddo's from grandmas. It honestly was one of the best birthdays I have ever had.
Thanks so much baby for making my birthday so special.
I have a better picture, but I need Bonnie to send it to me. :)
