Our new family past time

There is nothing cuter than watching the girls play the wii we got for Christmas. The giggles that come from playing the cow racing game are worth every penny.

Out of the mouths of babes

When taking our vitamins this morning,
Princess M yells, "Hurry, Hurry mom, take your nice pills"
Me "Oh you think I need my nice pills?"
"Yes mom, you need them very very bad!"

"Mommy, Try not to miss me so much!"

Apparently I need to stop letting Princess E know that I miss her when she goes to school. LOL These have been her parting words to me for the last few days as she heads out for the bus.

Meet the newest Sunbeam in Cooleyville

We are SO proud of our big little girl!

This past week she has developed a new talent. She is AMAZING with puzzles. We looked over at her in church on Sunday and she was doing the 8 piece puzzle that we have in the church bag backwards. Instead of the picture side, she was putting it together w/out the picture.
I love as the girls grow that their talents are emerging. This little one is definitely showing that she is not going to have a problem academically at all.

We are the pirates who don't do anything....

She found this big tube that the movers had seran wrap around and her little leg fit perfectly in it. I think she walked around the house with it on for a few hours. Silly girl.

Family Photo Shoot

Over the Christmas holiday, a close friend (thanks Amber) came and took some great pictures for us. Didn't she do a great job?
She snapped some great candid shots of Princess M. This picture with her and the cat is just priceless. It says SO much about who Princess M is.

We needed a new grand kid picture since princess B wasn't in the last one. But unfortunately this was the best shot of them all.
I sometimes feel like the picture Nazi when we are all together. What can I say, I just like having family pictures that are current. :) Especially when I know so many great talented people who can take great care of us.

Wow what a month

Well December was a whirl wind. A fun month, but we are definitely ready to get settled back into life. I had so many pictures from the holidays that I just made them into several slide shows. I think they are pretty self explanatory. But feel free to ask any questions if you have any. We hope you all had a great Holiday season too. Happy New Year.

4 things

When we first learned that we would be moving, We were happy to say yes when a friend offered to buy our snow blower. Because we would need to use it all the time in both Georgia and Arizona. (the 2 places they were considering sending us)

But little did we know there would be 4 new pieces of yard/house equipment that would become essential once we got here.

The first, the leaf blower. LOVE this little thing. Makes cleaning up the millions of the leaves so much easier.

Second, the dehumidifier. An absolute must for the basement with all the humidity in the air. Ours is set at 35% humidity and I have to dump it every single day.

Third, a wet dry vac. We found out just how important this one is last night when our storage room was a 1/2 inch deep in rain water. (the dehumidifier is working over time too)

And fourth, a pressure washer. We don't actually have this one yet, but we will in the spring once we can re stain the porch and deck. There is SO much algae on our steps and driveway it is crazy.

Sometimes it would be so much easier though to learn these things before you have to run out and buy one to solve the problem.

February 10th...National Bankruptcy Day

Soon, a United States law will go into affect that will have a profound impact on small business, including many of my friends and loved ones. It is called the Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act. It is a law that in essence, prohibits anyone from selling products to children under twelve without rigorous lead testing. This includes ANY products intended for use by a child. Small businesses, Etsy, E-bay, Craigslist, Freecycle, thrift stores, garage sales, even hand-me-downs are included in this measure.

I am disgusted. PLEASE write to your congressmen!

All items that haven't been tested for lead by February 10th will be required to be thrown into a landfill. I am disgusted that the country I live in, who boasts of its many freedoms, would do something as heinous as this.

What makes me even sicker is that OUR house passed it with no nays and only a few in the Senate. I have a pit in my stomach. I can only imagine who is in the back pockets of these lawmakers.

For living in a country that boasts being a democracy, it sure feels a lot like communism.
