We have a first grader now!

Wow! Has the year already passed since I was worried about my little girl being gone all day for full day kindergarten?

Last week we were lucky enough to attend princess E's kindergarten graduation, and boy was this mama emotional. I can hardly believe she is this big!
We started out the morning by gathering in her class room for breakfast and for her and her class mates to receive the classroom awards and to watch a slide show from the year.
Princess E was given the award of, "Most Cheerful" by her class mates. She also received an award for reading and got a ticket to Six Flags. We then moved into the gym where the principal introduced all 11 of the kindergarten teachers and then they gave out the attendance awards. Of which princess E received the silver award for less than 5 absences for the year (2 to be exact). Then there was a program of songs that they had learned in music class that year. It really was a great morning and we were beaming parents.

In the slide show below, there is a picture from the first day of school, the day of graduation, her teacher in green and the para pro in black. Then there is a picture down the K hall. Their school is seriously as big as my high school was. Her class room was at the very end of that hallway. Then the last picture is just a 1/4 of the kindergartners in the gym. As I mentioned, there were 11 classes all with 16-17 kids each.

We love you Princess E and are excited to start first in the fall!
