The Deer forgot to look both ways

So on our way home from the reception a deer decided to jump into the right head light. It was pretty scary. But fortunately it was one of those best case scenarios. If it was going to happen this was the way to have it happen. It didn't come through the windshield. The airbag didn't come out, as I was watching a movie on our brand new laptop. (which we now have a new rule of no laptops in the front seat). The girls were not with us but back at grandma's house. But he sure did a lot of damage. The estimate came in at $3450. Thank goodness we only have a 200 dollar deductible. But a word to the wise, make sure you have rental insurance on your policy. As it doesn't cost much, but when you are left without your only car for a few weeks it will come in handy. We have learned the hard way by not having it this time around. Thank goodness to great friends who have let us borrow their 2 nd car and have given us rides when needed.
